Mettiamo il caso che stiate assistendo ad una presentazione PowerPoint e che proprio non vi vada a genio qualche slide, o che vogliate esprimere il vostro plauso votando con un tweet: bene tutto questo ora è possibile, in real time grazie ad un set di tool che permettono l’integrazione di Twitter in PowerPoint.

Ever wanted to make presentations a more interactive, Web 2.0 experience? A prototype version of the PowerPoint Twitter Tools is now available for testing. Created using SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius (but requiring only PowerPoint for Windows and Adobe Flash to run), the twitter tools allow presenters to see and react to tweets in real-time, embedded directly within their presentations, either as a ticker or refreshable comment page. There are currently four tools:

• PowerPoint Twitter feedback slide
• PowerPoint Twitter ticker bar
• PowerPoint Twitter voting
• PowerPoint Crowd Meter

Currently only works on Windows (sorry) — investigating Mac and Open Office support.

It’s all controlled by @names or #hashtags and it brings everything live into your powerpoint slides. They’ve just released an update which has fixed a few bugs and added an extra tool.
